Innovation brunch in Tampere

On the 16th of September, the Council of Tampere Region and TREDEA (Tampere Region Economic Development Agency) organised an Innovation Brunch to illustrate the innovation profile of the region to the local stakeholders (namely experts from development agencies, universities and municipalities) and the project SMART EUROPE was presented as source of information.

Maramures SMART Cafè: innovation anchors and innovation based jobs in the County

On the 14th of  June  2012, a first meeting of the INTERREG IV C project  - „SMART EUROPE”  took place , under the coordination of Maramures County Council through the International Relations Office.

What is an “Innovation Anchor”?

SMART EUROPE is based on the notion that smart and targeted regional policies and interventions can in fact be designed in order to boost employment directly in the different innovation based sectors in a region, thus creating maximum employment growth within the sectors that contribute most to the regional economy.

Depending on the region these can be for instance a multinational company, a cluster, a university or a specific economic sector, or a combination of those.

SMART Cafè in the County of Sør-Trøndelag

On 3-4 September the County of Sør-Trøndelag will organise its SMART EUROPE Café entitled "The Innovation network of the County of South-Trøndelag". The discussion will focus on the Innovation in traditional sectors and non-metropolitan areas.

Avila SMART CAFÉ: innovation and agro-food

The Smart Europe Cafe held on 24th May in Avila attracted more attendants than foreseen, in fact 35 persons joined the discussion. This event has been considered as an opportunity to meet the stakeholders supporting the innovation in the Agro-food sector as a first approach for the following stages of the project.

Smart Cafè in Èszak Alföld

On 16th May will take place the SMART EUROPE Cafè in Èszak Alföld, organised by the Èszak Alföld Regional Development Agency. The discussion will focus on the Innovative job-creation in Észak-Alföld region.
